Fall/Winter 2014 - Accessories

Another season passed and now it's the time to add your to-buy list once again. There are just too many beautiful things this season and I'm afraid my little pathetic list might not have enough space to fill them all in. These are my top priorities.

 FENDI

This little Karl Lagerfeld key chain makes my heart skip a beat when I first saw it and since then, I haven't been able to stop thinking of it. It's just way too adorable and no one can resist it.

CHANEL

IT'S A BOY!
Yup, its no other than the Chanel Boy Bag. I know this series have been out for a while now and I bet most already owned one now. I'm pretty strict when it comes to buying a bag I love. There are definitely once or twice when I lost control and bought something and goes "why did I even buy this?". I mean I like it, I just don't love it. So, I'm currently still looking for the perfect boy for myself and I'm not going to give up. You know those feelings when you see something and instantly you know it's the one? Yes, I'm still waiting for that moment when I see my perfect boy. Til then, I'm going to keep my hands in my pocket and keep waiting.

CHRISTIAN DIOR

I have been eyeing Dior for awhile now and I haven't seen a color I really love in store. FW14's color palette for accessories is exactly what I've been looking for in a Dior bag. I needed something classy yet fun. I'm tired of choosing everything in a safe color. I needed to revamp my entire wardrobe like now!!! It's time! After years of black, black, black, black and black, I needed something more fun and daring. It's time for a new me and I think FW14 will do great on that!

WIMBLY LU CAFE

If you are into exploring hidden Cafes in Singapore, this is one of them you might want to try. Wimbly Lu is known for their desserts and their interior setup. They are special in every ways.

I came here for the fifth time today and this is the first time I'm trying their breakfast menu. Every time I came here, the only thing I will attack are from the dessert menu but today, since it's pretty early, I've decided to give it a try. I have ordered Bacon & Egg Crepe for myself and it's absolutely delicious. Not a single bit of regret.  Small slices of bacon and hot scrambled egg, wrapped in soft thin crepe, the taste is just HEAVEN!

My parents and elder brother ordered the Grand Slam! It's not bad too. Its served with 2 rashers of bacon, two sausages, two organic eggs (you can choose either sunny or scrambled), two slices of walnut toast, a hash brown, tomato and a glass of freshly pressed orange juice. As for my sister-in-law, she ordered the Double Hash Brown. Oh, did I mention, their Hash Brown and Fries is heaven too?

As for desserts, we had Molten Lava Cake, Lemon Meringue Pie, Waffles with Milo Ice Cream and Tiramisu. The Molten Lava Cake is one of their most recommended desserts and trust me, you don't want to skip this. It served hot, crispy on the surface and filled with melted chocolate underneath. YUM!

If you are into sour desserts, you might want to try their Lemon Meringue Pie. It's not the best I've eaten but it's still pretty good. Their Tiramisu is not bad as well. Another thing you have to try is their Waffles with Milo Ice Cream. The Milo Ice Cream itself will make satisfied but if you add the "crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside" waffles to it, it will bring you to the whole new level of satisfactory.

Wimbly Lu has become my to-go place for desserts, its also a place where I would bring my family and friends to just chill and enjoy the food again and again. The place is cosy, air-conditioned, accompanied with vintage furnitures, and most importantly, it's affordable. I will definitely go back.

9MARCH2014 - What's in your bag?

Givenchy coney shoulder bag, Celine bi-colored wallet, iphone 5

What do you have in your bag today?

Since I'm only heading out for brunch with my family today, there's nothing much to bring but still, a girl always have to go with a bag/clutch even if you're just going to the supermarket. These days, everything is about the accessories.

If you're just going out for a brunch/ breeze walk, you can be wearing just a tank top and a denim shorts, it doesn't matter, the accessories you match with will make you pop. Just remember to opt out your flippers and go with sandals.

So why is it important for a women to have a bag/clutch with them?

Someone close to me once told me "A women should always have a bag with her, if you don't want a bag, at least go with a clutch. A women is never a women without a bag/clutch in her hands." Which is definitely true. I remembered strolling down the streets of Milan with no bags/clutch with me since I'm so tired of holding them. My shoulders will always go down on me half way through and my mood will get affected by it. After he told me these, I looked around and think back, he's right. I'm looked like a plain little kiddo down the street. No women wants to look like this. It's sad.

Well, lesson learned. No pain no game. After that, I never go out without a bag or clutch. It can be as small as a sling iphone case like the ones from Chanel. It doesn't matter. You just need something on your shoulder or hand.

Trust me, having a bag or clutch will never go wrong.

Cheng's Seafood Village

Dinner with my family at 青記海鮮村 located at Punngol area. This is my second time there and I still enjoy the food as much as the first.

My first impression about this place was honestly not that appealing. I wasn't expecting much but the food is really delicious and its affordable.

Don't let the location and setup fool you like I did because the food there is super good.
Never ever judge a book by its cover.

If you are into exploring, you might want to give this place a go because I really find this place really nice.

Oscar 2014 Throwback

Oscar 2014 just ended a while ago and I bet some of your are still talking about it.

So, who is your best dressed and worst dressed of the night?

Lets talk about some of my favorites. First we have Lupita Nyong'o who was dressed in flowly light blue Prada gown. Damn, this girl never fails to surprise me. I love her.

Next we have Cate Blanchett in that nude with gold details Armani gown. So beautiful as always. Then we have Jennifer Lawrence, who strikes in red peplum Dior gown and fell again. I felt bad for her but she's like "hell, I don't care" and laughed when Ellen DeGeneres joke about it on stage. I seriously have no idea who wouldn't love her. She's a joker AND a talented actress.

Another of my fav, Charlize Theron. Dressed in black Dior haute couture gown, looking super stunning (as always). Let us just forget about the moments where she kinda missed out on  her lines because she looks fantastic on stage.

Then we have Kate Hudson in that white Versace gown with the cape over her shoulder, it took my breath away. She is no doubt the top best dressed of that night.

Feel free to leave your comments below to share who are your best and worst dressed of the night.

XOXO,
M

Audi Fashion Festival Singapore 2014

BREAKING NEWS!!!

audifashionfestival.com

After the long wait, the line up for this year's Singapore Audi Fashion Festival is finally out. Since this afternoon, I've have been jumping up and down in joy when I found out Oscar De La Renta and Prabal Gurung will be showcasing their FW14 in Singapore. I can't wait!!!

I went Peter Pilotto's show last year during AFFSG and it was AWESOME!!!! I'm so glad I've gotten tickets for the show since I bought the tickets at the very last minutes. Not the best seats but it's so worth it.

Although it's different from New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week, I'm still happy to get the chance to see big brands showcasing in Singapore. Not everyday you can see it in person.

I have attended Emilio Pucci and Marni show in Milan a few seasons ago and it was phenomenal. I went speechless before and after the show. I went all starstruck when I saw all the famous fashion bloggers, models, editor, etc etc and one of them is no other than Bryan Boy himself. I had to restraint myself from looking at him with the stalker face of mine. It's just hard not to go gaga when the day before you were just browsing through their websites.

Anyway, do stay tune to audifashionfestival.com for more details such as tickets (very important) because you won't want to miss any of it.

Chanel Throwback

Fall/Winter 2014 is coming to an end with great finales and you know what I'm talking about.

Lets go back to Chanel show. We know Karl Lagerfeld never fails to impress us with his show but this season, it left me speechless (in a good way).

I can't stop thinking about this show. Everything from the Chanel supermarket runway to the accessories, its just breath taking. If you guys have not view it, YOU HAVE TO!

One simple word to describe this show, fun.

What really makes me crazily in love is the Chanel grocery basket. If I ever see that in a supermarket, no way am I returning it back to the counter. It stays with me and hell ya I'm hanging it on my wall.

Another thing is, did you guys spotted Kendall Jenner walking down the runway. YUP! To be honest, I'm excited to see more of her in the modelling world. First runway debut for Marc Jacobs, then Givenchy and now Chanel. I have to say she do have a thing. She's talented.

To end off today, stay tune to my next post on Oscar throwback.
